Just received in the mail Cebu Pacific’s Love is in the fare seat sale promo where one could go (from Manila) to Taipei and Jakarta for as low as PhP 999.00! For PhP 1,499.00, you can already reach Saigon! I just checked roundtrip fares for Saigon in June and it was less than PhP 4,000.00 including taxes and fees! All I could say is “Aaaaaaaargh!”. Man! My what-ifs are (re)surfacing! Better to turn off these notifications for now.

I’m not so much a fan of Cebu Pacific but these fares are irresistible! What are you waiting for? Go, fly!

Over the holidays, my then 4-month old baby, Euna, did quite a bit of flying. She flew from MLA-CDO-DVO-MLA, a total of 3 different planes from 2 carriers in less than a month. After spending Christmas in CDO, we (Ariz, Euna, and I) flew to Davao via Cebu Pacific to spend the New Year with Ariz’s family. We purchased the tickets last October and reserved (paid) for bulkhead seats. I did this because I knew that with Cebu Pacific planes, the seats that’d allow me the most room are the bulkhead seats where there will be no chair in front of me. Unfortunately, I didn’t read the fine print and was told by a Cebu Pacific staff while checking in that she couldn’t give us the bulkhead seats we reserved for since it is also the emergency exit. As a safety standard, only able-bodied adults without an infant can be seated in the bulkhead seats. I understood the situation but what I couldn’t understand was how the system could have allowed us to reserve for the seats when I’ve also specified that we were bringing an infant with us.
EUNA clearly stated as an INFANT. And yes, I definitely paid for those seats!

Just made me say, “Hello Singapore!”. I was able to book a low (low! low!) all-in round trip fare of PhP 3,771.00 (insurance not included) from Manila to Singapore for January 2010. The seat sale will run from October 15 – Oct 19, 2009 for travel from November 15, 2009 until January 31, 2010.

As of this posting, I can no longer access Cebu Pacific’s website. Must be from all that traffic! Good thing I have already grabbed the seats that I want. Hurry and grab yours too!
