
Speaking of Sakae Sushi, we had a quick lunch at this particular restaurant in Changi Terminal 2 while waiting for our flight back to Manila. The familiar conveyor belt filled with sushis and makis beckoned to me and since I wanted to share the Nihon Mura experience with my husband coupled with their HSBC buy 1 take 1 pink plate promo, we couldn’t resist.

After that business meeting I went to in Singapore, my colleagues (Pinoys) decided to have lunch at Nihon Mura, a casual Japanese place nearby in the Tampines area. It was a Friday and the area was packed with lots of pinoys – understandable considering the place offers sushi at $1.19 a plate (the management just upped it from 99 cents a plate).

As usual, I am so behind on my posts. Was in Singapore a month ago and have already wrote a post on Ibis Bencoolen’s accommodation. I’ve promised to write a post on the hotel’s buffet breakfast so here it is.

Being that most of our budget was already eaten up by our fare, I had to cut back on how much we were going to spend for accommodation. With such short notice, all I could manage was a stay at Ibis Bencoolen. It is an economy (no frills) hotel, still part of the Accor group but unlike our stay at Grand Mercure Roxy wherein we got the room at promo rate, we definitely paid full-price this time around (Our bill for a 4-day stay at Ibis Bencoolen turned out to be more expensive than our 5-day stay at Grand Mercure Roxy ).

Okay, it isn’t the first time I flew with PAL but it is certainly my first time flying with PAL internationally. The tickets were definitely expensive (about 5x the amount we paid for Cebu Pacific when we went to Singapore last January. That could also be attributed to the fact that I bought the tickets 2/3 days before the flight) but I have no complaints.
