And Euna’s birth month as well! And I’ve just missed breastfeeding week! I couldn’t believe I have been that busy (or I’m just not good at juggling things)!

One of the things that I’ve overlooked (well not really overlooked, maybe assumed would be a better word) is my skin regimen while in Sydney. I knew beforehand that it was winter and that temperature could get as low as 5 degrees celsius (it went down to 4 a couple of days ago). Being that I have oily skin, I assumed that my skin regimen back in the Philippines (which consists of using Body Shop’s tea tree facial wash and toner and a L’oreal water-based moisturizer) would work for me regardless of the weather. Boy, was I so wrong!

I ended up buying all of the above!

Above image should tell all.
Delay in posting due to a veeeery hectic schedule. Was rushed into flying to Sydney with practically just 2 days notice! The good news is that I have my family with me here so even if it’s winter, it doesn’t get too lonely. Another good thing is that I have a couple of Filipino officemates who prepared a welcome dinner for us on our first day which really went a long way as we were too stressed to even think about food! And restaurants abound in the area ranging from Asian to Mediterranean to Italian so finding a place to eat at is fairly easy (deciding is another thing). Unfortunately, I wouldn’t exactly call it cheap as a meal outside averages at 6-10 AUD! And that’s just every day fare! And I’ve been super busy at work. Just super. So updates for now would have to wait.
Inauguration is on June 30th. That’s one holiday I’ll be missing.
More soon!

I can’t believe more than 2 weeks has passed since my last update. I was right to worry – the first 2 days at work, I was feverish with aching joints. Good thing a whole body massage, North Park’s Nanking Beef noodle for dinner, and a good night’s sleep was all it took to shoo the flu-like symptoms away.

I’m going back to work soon with Euna still 2 weeks shy of her 10th month. I’m worried that I might not be able to breastfeed her until she’s 2 years of age (and beyond if I don’t get tired/still have milk) as planned. Yesterday, we went to see her pedia and I found out that Euna only gained 100 grams since her visit 6 weeks ago. This is by far the lowest weight gain for my daughter given the length in between the checkups. I understand that at a certain point, a baby’s weight plateaus but I guess I was just too used to her gaining weight. She already tripled her birthweight on her 8th month and I know that there’s most probably no reason to worry since as far as her checkup went, it looks like everything is ok. Still, I worry.

Who wouldn’t with a face such as this?
