I was a voracious reader growing up which opened my young mind to embrace different worlds and endless possibilities. But the one book that really inspired and fueled my drive to explore everything that this world has to offer is Michael Crichton’s Travels. Unfortunately, I lent that book to a friend and he never returned it. Hopefully, I could still get my hands on a copy of Travels one day. I’ve read it many times already (complete with highlighted texts) and yet, I never fail to enjoy reading it every single time.
My travels so far (as of January 2010) is limited to the different beautiful places in the Philippines but I’m looking at traveling in Asia this year starting with Singapore. Before 2009, my travels were either by myself or with my then-bf-now-husband but for 2010 and future years, they’ll most likely include my adorable daughter Euna.
I started this travel blog mainly as a checklist of the places I’ve been to, things I’ve done, things I’ve yet to do, and to show/remind me of how beautiful the world really is. That’s why for 2010, Ive resolved that I’ll do more than my fair share in promoting a greener Earth so that there may still be a world left to be explored and to take delight from.
All the photos and text used in Hungry for the World, unless otherwise stated, are my own original literary work. If you’d like to use any of my photos, drop me a line at hungryfortheworld@yahoo.com.
